Hostel Cosmos is a small, generous hostel with a friendly atmosphere and a house cat called Simba.
It was built in the 17th century as a hotel, and is situated in the city centre, close to Central Station and to major tourist attractions such as the world famous Dam Square, red light district, Anne Frank House and Rembrandsplein.
The hostel was converted in 1999 and the rooms have been recently renovated, each painted in an different colour. The bedrooms all have central heating, TV access and a wash basin.
The common room is a great place to meet travellers from around the world and it also has phone and internet access. Bed linen and a self-service breakfast of tea/coffee and croissants are included in the overnight price.
There is a 24 hour reception and a travel information desk manned by young, friendly staff.
The hostel also has parking spaces, bicycle hire, security locker and luggage storage.
To preserve the laid-back atmosphere no: persons under 18 years of age or above 35, stag or hen nights, sport tours, fans for big matches, and groups of 6 or more men.
