New Ing Lodge is a friendly Bed and Breakfast and Hostel with nine letting rooms, directly on the Wainwrights Coast to Coast. It is the first accommodation in Shap on the walk from Patterdale.
The two mixed dormitory rooms sleep 6 and 8 people and there are also private and family rooms. As well as a bed and a great atmosphere you have access to a kitchen with microwave, kettle, hob, toaster, fridge, and cooking utensils.
The dormitory rooms come with the option of breakfast, cereal, toast, tea, coffee and fresh orange juice for £4 or £6 for a full English/vegetarian breakfast. Packed Lunches and home cooked evening meals available from £7. New Ing Lodge is ideal for individuals, families and groups. It is within three miles of Junction 39 on the M6 and close to the A6 which make it great for a break in a journey. It has a wild location on the edge of the Lake District National park, the Howgill Fells, the Pennine Fells and the Westmorland Way.
Places for a day out include Shap Abbey (20min walk), Orton Chocolate Factory or the Rheghed Discovery Centre.
